![]() ![]() I think Vivaldi can do that, i just request everyone to give a thought. I am not forcing anyone, i have been using Opera for a long time now as i mentioned, i just love Opera but used to have a craze in those Opera Presto days, especially when Opera was ran by the original people and had much more market share. Today's Opera is just another browser with Opera's name and logo, the real ppl who worked at Opera (when it had a significant market share), are now at Vivaldi. If we have real "Opera lovers" here, you guys should consider, Vivaldi really deserves our support. I think Vivaldi is the real Opera, this is where we have the original ppl who worked at Opera. If time is used correctly, Vivaldi can be felt home after working on some customization if needed. They are improving and while a lot might not like Vivaldi for being too "classy" or so, you can always customize it and the company recently brought more customization options. They recently took the brave decision to block FLoC among the few browsers to do so, while redesigning their sidebars. Today, ppl that originally worked at Opera are now at Vivaldi and while it is very new compared to how old is Opera, Vivaldi takes a much better stance at user-privacy. I am also sure that Opera would have found another way around it's problems with Presto and would have continue to be based off Presto. I certainly don't trust chinese companies (not because they are Chinese, but i don't trust the Chinese Government, which is what every company in china should follow).Īt last, i am sure that Opera has come a long way, but i am sure that it would be a lot different if it wasn't sold to the chinese company and stayed with the original Opera Team. I certainly care about my privacy which is also one of the reasons for my switch over to Vivaldi. The reason Vivaldi was my first option to move over from Opera was because Vivaldi is run by ex-CEO and co-founder of Opera as well as a lot of Opera employees moved to Vivaldi. I have been testing Vivaldi recently (over a month) and it is an amazing browser with a very friendly community. I hear Vivaldi is the customization king, but I love how Opera GX lets me customize keyboard sounds and ambient music and UI sounds.I have been using Opera for a very long time (More than a decade) and it has always been my primary browser, but since the company was acquired by Kunlun Tech Limited, i have been concerned over my privacy and the future of Opera. Can I add the others to Vivaldi, and will they work pretty much the same? Opera GX has Messenger, Telegram, Twitter, WhatsApp, apps in the sidebar. What do you like better about Vivaldi vs Opera (GX) user experience?.What actually makes Vivaldi better than Opera in terms of privacy?.A few people have referred me to Vivaldi, which I have now downloaded. But when discussing this in privacy-focused circles, I'm immediately met with criticism of Opera being owned by the Chinese, tracking your activity, people saying "Please stop using Opera immediately", and the like. Last week I switched back to Opera GX and it feels so darn good, I missed so many little features. I used Opera GX quite a few years ago, but then when Brave started gaining popularity I went down a privacy rabbit hole and switched to Brave for the past 3 years.
